Oracle Platinum Services
Oracle Engineered Systems combine Oracle’s software and hardware to work together, resulting in much higher out-of-the-box compatibility and substainability than would otherwise be possible, as well as guaranteed alignment between new feature development and the underlying platform’s ability to support them. Oracle Platinum Services is one option you should explore for these systems because you do not want to risk having such a high-end sophisticated system without sufficient intense services.
When Oracle Platinum Services was launched in 2012, we were involved in the operations and optimization of Oracle Platinum Services for Oracle’s pilot customers. Oracle Platinum Services enable clients to decrease the cost and complexity of continuing maintenance and support for Oracle Engineered Systems. The service model involves implementing Oracle Advanced Support Gateway to collect, aggregate, and transmit telemetry data from all monitored systems in the customer’s IT infrastructure. The gateway may provide enhanced monitoring and remote management support for Oracle customers, as well as built-in security and performance evaluation to deliver service excellence for customers’ IT environment.
Oracle Platinum Services assist Oracle customers in maximizing the availability and performance of Oracle Engineered Systems by providing 24 hour, 7 day a week monitoring, industry-leading reaction time, and patch deployment services. Oracle Premier Support customers or Extended Support customers who are operating certified configurations of qualified Oracle Engineered Systems will not incur any additional costs under their current maintenance agreement. With Oracle Platinum Services, each fault notification generated in Oracle Engineered Systems would immediately send a service request to My Oracle Support to wait for remediation of the alarm. Under Oracle Platinum Service Level Agreement, it covers 5 minutes of problem notice, 15 minutes of restoration or escalation to development, 30 minutes of joint debugging with development, and up to four remote patch deployments per year to prevent bugs, vulnerabilities, threats, and security breaches.
The program releases are no longer covered by Premier Support or Extended Support do not meet the requirements for a certified Platinum Configuration. Configurations do not fulfill the Oracle Platinum Services eligibility standards will be transferred to Sustaining Support for Oracle Platinum Services until they are upgraded to program releases to meet the eligibility requirements. Customers with configurations under Sustaining Support for Oracle Platinum Services should double check with us to confirm the latest support agreement, however they will most likely receive Remote Fault Monitoring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as indicated before in Premier Support coverage. Fault notification and automatic service request creation where applicable, best effort remote patch deployment for components not covered by Sustaining Support, and limited technical support for Restoration and Resolution, as determined by the Sustaining Support guidelines for the specific program release. Sustaining Support for Oracle Platinum Services provides no access to Oracle Platinum Services for new implementations, no commitment to response time targets (i.e., no 15-minute restoration or escalation to development, and no 30-minute joint debugging), no quarterly remote patch deployment for program releases, and no new program updates, fixes, security alerts, or critical patch updates.
Our Partner Data Information
Partner entries on our record will be identical to those found in our Customer entires, which contains customers and prospects. In many circumstances, a Partner can also be a Customer/Prospect, or both.
For example, if a Partner record is to be created for one of the entities of “Debby and Dennis Corporation” but it already exists as a Customer record, the potential duplicates notification will appear at our end, giving us an option to choose between selecting the current record and creating a new Partner record. When an existing (Customer) record is selected, it is also made available for our Partner Management.
